InnerWireless Expands Senior Executive Team
To Strengthen In-Building Wireless Market Expertise
David Julin Joins InnerWireless as Senior Vice President of Sales;
Follows Appointment of Tim Kinnear as CFO and Annette Gieseman as VP of Marketing
Richardson, Texas – July 29, 2002
– InnerWireless, an in-building wireless systems and
services company, has added David Julin as senior vice president
of sales. The announcement coincides with InnerWireless' successful
closure of a $7 million follow-on financing, provided by leading
venture capital investment firm Rho Ventures, increasing the total
amount of equity financing to date to $25 million.
Julin, who was recruited from Ericsson in July, will lead InnerWireless'
sales efforts in the enterprise, wireless carrier, and real estate
markets. He has more than 30 years experience in sales and strategic
partnership development in the industry with some of the largest
equipment manufacturers in the United States. His expertise in direct
sales, sales management and business development management, as
well as strong relationships with wireless service providers and
enterprises soundly positions InnerWireless to realize its growth
plan and continue leading the in-building wireless market.
"Dave is a proven industry veteran, and his superb sales track
record speaks for itself," said InnerWireless President and
CEO Ed Cantwell. "His extensive expertise in wireless product
sales and in-depth knowledge of our target markets and customers
is invaluable to InnerWireless. We are fortunate to have Dave as
a key member of our senior management team and heading our sales
efforts."
Keeping to its strategy of strengthening the company's leadership
team with the industry’s best professionals, InnerWireless
recently added Tim Kinnear as chief financial officer and Annette
Gieseman as vice president of marketing. Kinnear brings senior executive
experience in both private and publicly-held companies. Most recently
he led the successful extension of InnerWireless' private equity
financing, which resulted in $7 million in additional funding. Previously
he was CEO of Intrusion Inc., a publicly-held network security company,
and CFO at Cyrix Corp., where he was instrumental in the company's
$32 million initial public offering and raised more than $200 million
in funding.
A veteran of the telecommunications industry with more than 20
years of marketing and management experience, Gieseman will carve
out InnerWireless’ position at the forefront of the in-building
wireless industry as it emerges and evolves. Prior to joining InnerWireless
she was vice president of marketing with venture-backed wireless
start-ups such as Xybridge Technologies and ComSpace Corporation,
and vice president of Intelligent Networks at Nortel Networks.
Julin, Kinnear and Gieseman join an established team of respected
industry leaders led by Ed Cantwell, president and CEO; Darla Braun,
COO; Jim McCoy, CTO; and Chris McCoy, SVP Corporate Development.
