Richard Barnwell,Vice President for Vision Product Line
Richard Barnwell is chief technology officer for the PanGo product line with responsibility for technical strategy and engineering management. The PanGo products provide enterprises with visibility to their critical assets by providing timely and accurate information on the identity, location and condition of equipment, people and key supplies.

Previously, Barnwell was Chief Technology Officer at PanGo with responsibility for the product and technology strategy of the company’s location management platform and asset tracking solutions. Before joining PanGo, Barnwell served as VP of Services at Axeda Systems, a provider of remote service and M2M solutions. At Axeda he assisted global OEM customers incorporate remote monitoring and autonomic computing capability to their products. Prior to Axeda, Barnwell was CTO at ZEFER, an internet consulting company. At ZEFER he consulted with global companies on their internet strategy and implementation, created the company's wireless and mobility practice, and led the advanced technology efforts. Earlier in his career, Barnwell held senior engineering roles at Infinium Software and Dun & Bradstreet software developing and implementing enterprise resource planning software.

Barnwell has been a contributing member of standards groups such as the IEEE 802.11 working group, the Object Management Group (OMG) and the EPCglobal Software Action Group. He has spoken at conferences on topics such as location based services, RFID, internet commerce and distributed computing. Mr. Barnwell has a master's degree in Information Systems from Brighton University, England and a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from DeMontford University, England.
