Q: Can Horizon Fusion work in conjunction with my WLAN?

A: Yes, while Horizon Fusion does not converge 3G services and WLAN on the same infrastructure in the same way Horizon does, they do not interfere with each other.

Horizon Fusion is a carrier-only, multi-band distributed antenna system (DAS) that leverages standard building cabling and provides dedicated in-building coverage, capacity and monitoring for selected cellular carriers, in a facility or throughout a campus:

  • Your building is wired with a hybrid combination of CAT 5/fiber optic cabling and multi-band antennas.
  • Wide-area services, such as 3G, are connected to Horizon Fusion in a single common area, such as a basement, using wireless carrier equipment, such as a bi-directional amplifier.
  • The multi-band antennas distribute the carrier’s wireless service
  • The entire system is configured and monitored by web-based SNMP network operations
